How about a walk in the park? On a Sunday afternoon. What could be better than Price Park? We'll check out the Bird and Butterfly meadows, see what we can see at the pond below the library, and walk over toward the big lake across Hobbs Rd. Pretty much an afternoon explore.
This will be a nature walk, so we'll look for birds, native wildflowers, invasive species(Yuk!) and anything else we find to talk about, like the little creek we'll see there. Except for the road coming down from the parking lot the walk will be on flat ground, some paved and some grass.
Plan to join us for this “walk in the park”. There are a few parking spaces at the entrance to the Bird and Butterfly Meadow, where we'll gather. If that area is full park up in the library lot.
Wear good walking shoes and bring your binoculars and some water if you desire.
We'll see you there, Sunday, September 14, 2:00 pm. Price Park on Hobbs Rd. At the Bird and Butterfly Meadow.
