Program Description:

Kevin Burke of Carolina Nature Tours has led guided birding tours throughout the US and Central America. One of his favorite birding destinations is Western North Carolina, one of the best places to find warblers!  Kevin will discuss the biodiversity of this region, the bird species, habitats and hot spots. 

 Speaker Bio:

After years of combined experience in the parks, environmental education and ecotourism industries, Kevin and his wife, Jennie launched Carolina Nature Tours. Kevin specializes in birding and Jennie has an extensive knowledge of plants and community ecology. Together, they offer guided walks, hikes and day trips throughout western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. While the focus of Carolina Nature Tours is on day trips and private tours in Western North Carolina, Kevin also leads multi-day tours throughout the US for Victor Emanuel Nature Tours. Kevin is on the Henderson County Environmental Assessment Board of Directors as well as the Blue Ridge Audubon Chapter Board of Directors.

Program begins at 7PM but come a little early and socialize with us. This program is free and open to all.
