“Panoramic view of most of the Garrett Historical Farm” Photo by Patrick DePinto
Come join us for a leisurely nature outing at Alamance County’s Cedarock Park!
Opening at the Garrett Historical Farm, restored to late 19th Century conditions on the site of a real farm established in the 1830s, members of T. Gilbert Pearson Audubon Society plus the Triad Wild! (TW!) and Tri-County Conservationists (TCC) chapters of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF) which share stewardship of Alamance County will get to immerse in late autumn homestead life with real farm animals on-site.
We will then meander down the Spoon Branch Trail next to the farm down to Rock Creek and back (with the option of completing the entire loop of this 1.3-mile trail), taking in as much wildlife as we can!
Birders, ‘herp’, and history lovers alike should enjoy this nature outing, fit for nature and history enthusiasts of all ages.
We will gather between the “Cedarock Historical Farm” sign and the bathroom (look for the sign being held by chapter leader Patrick DePinto, which will have the names of each sponsor group on it) and begin our journey just after 2:00 PM.
Contact the trip coordinator with any questions or concerns.
