Join us for an ambling walk through a variety of habitats as we watch and listen for resident and migrating birds.
Location: Caswell Game Lands Camping, 3372 NC HWY 62, Yanceyville, NC 27379.
Driving north toward Yanceyville, the entrance is on the left, 500 feet before Burton Chapel Rd. on the right. Follow the road through the camping area to the parking lot at the pond.

Duration: until about 11:30 a.m.
Habitat: pond, deciduous woods, wet meadows, pine woods
Distance: 1 mile
Difficulty rating: Easy. Well-maintained there-and-back trails. Short, level trail along edge of pond. Second trail slopes briefly down hill, levels off through hardwoods and along meadows, then slopes up slightly through open pines. Wet spots and leaves, so waterproof shoes with traction are recommended.
Provisions needed: Water/drinks, lunch/snacks. Waterproof shoes with traction.
Special Notes:
· There are no restroom facilities.
· The area is within the Caswell Game Lands, but there is no hunting on Sundays.
